About the Book
Surrendering to All That Is is a powerful memoir of transformation, love, and resilience in the face of life’s greatest fires. From childhood trauma to profound loss, from coming out in a hostile world to facing cancer with peace, Mary Morgan’s story is one of rebirth and surrender.
With raw honesty and spiritual wisdom, this memoir shines a light for anyone walking through grief or transition. It is not only a story of survival but a testament to the power of surrender as active trust in life itself.
Perfect for readers of Cheryl Strayed, Elizabeth Lesser, and Glennon Doyle, Surrendering to All That Is affirms that what remains after everything burns away is love—and that our truest becoming begins when we surrender.

Praise for Surrendering to All That Is
“With grace, wisdom, and fierce vulnerability, Mary Morgan invites us into the sacred rhythm of falling apart and rising anew. Her words offer a refuge for the soul and a reminder that healing emerges from a surrendering heart.”
— Tara Brach, author of Radical Acceptance
“Mary Morgan infuses fierce love into the full rainbow of life and death by generously inviting us to accompany her and experience the raw authenticity and inspiring courage of surrendering to All That Is. Brava!”
— Dori Langevin, PsyD, Insight Meditation Teacher
“As I read Mary Morgan’s story, even as an immigrant, non-binary queer person of color, I deeply resonated with so many of the struggles, disappointments, griefs, losses, as well as the joys, connections, and lessons that life provides if we are open to them. Pain is a universal human experience; how we choose to relate to that pain leads to either suffering or liberation. Mary courageously and vulnerably shares the depth of her faith and trust that life gives us what we need to learn to be truly free. Her story speaks to the powerful practice of acceptance of the way things are and to the cultivation of wisdom to discern how to best move forward with grace, compassion, and love.”
— La Sarmiento, Dharma Teacher & Mindfulness Mentor
“This memoir brings light to life’s darkest chapters with raw honesty and emotional depth. Mary Morgan shares her pain with such spaciousness and clarity that, even in the heaviest moments, the reader feels held, not weighed down. As someone who has personally walked through similar terrain, I was moved by how gently yet powerfully this story is told.”
— Holly Merker, founder of Mindful Birding Network and coauthor of Ornitherapy: For Your Mind, Body, and Soul
